Globe invented Fire Fighter Protective Clothing / Turn Out Gear / Fire Suits over 137 years ago and we are proud to protect those on the front line today! We are looking to hire Productions Associates for our Pittsfield, New Hampshire manufacturing plant and perform sewing and non-sewing operations as we convert specialty cut fabric into high quality turnout gear.
1st Shift - (6:
00 am - 3:
30 pm, Monday through Thursday, 6:
00 am - 2:
30 pm on Friday - overtime on Saturdays as business needs dictate)Entry Level Starting Pay $16.
50/hr - Additional compensation may be available based upon experience Production Associates are needed for the following areas:
Stitching (Sewing Operators)Utilize a variety of industrial single needle, double needle and programmable machines to stitch one of over 100 operations needed to complete the turnout gear shell or liner.
Every operator is responsible for the quality of their work and is expected to support their departmental team by learning at least two additional operations.
Machine Operator roles (Snapping, Seam Seal, Automated Stitching, Trim, Cutting)Cutting fabric into pieces using a Gerber CutterAbility to use and understand a ruler and measurementsMaterial preparation, Labelling, Inspection, Matching and Final packaging

Requirements:
Able to read, write and speak basic EnglishHave basic knowledge of computers or tabletsSewing Operators must be able to sit or stand for full shiftNon-Sewing Operators must be able to stand/walk for full shiftAble to assist in team lifting of approximately 30 poundsStrong organization skills and high attention to detailPrevious experience in Sewing, Manufacturing, Machine Operation, Assembly, Quality Control and Inspection desirableWilling to hire and train candidates of at all levels including entry level with no experienceEducation (Required):
High School Diploma or GED Additional Requirements:

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
