Community Systems Operator

Pennichuck Corporation is a private water utility engaged in the collection, storage, treatment, distribution and sale of potable water in southern and central New Hampshire.
We are now seeking an experienced Community Systems Operator to service our customers in Pittsfield NH.
In this position, you will be part of a team that is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of water services, meters and other related appurtenances.
Additionally you will help the team operate, monitor, control, test and troubleshoot water supply and treatment processes using good safety practices in compliance with OSHA requirements.
Qualifications for this position include:
NHDES Distribution Operator Certification I AND a NHDES Water Supply Certification I or the ability to attain these certifications within 12 months of hire.
NHDES Distribution Operator Certification II OR NHDES Water Supply Certification II highly preferred; Valid State Driver's License in good standing; Demonstrated mechanical aptitude; Solid communications skills with prior experience working directly with customers; Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a team;.
Knowledge of OSHA and AWWA safety practices, procedures and standards preferred; Knowledge of the principles and practices of both water distribution maintenance and repair AND of water supply including; treatment, pump operation, chemical feed and basic control system troubleshooting preferred; The ability to work a reasonable number of overtime hours and participate in an on-call duty rotation.
